Ms Russum's 8th grade Flight and Space students took a field trip to Easton Airport yesterday where they participated in a private tour! Students learned about different careers in aviation, toured Trooper 6 from MD State Police, witnessed lots of planes taking off and landing, and enjoyed the flight simulator. Thank you Easton Airport for hosting our Wildcats and giving them an experience they wont forget. #CarolineFamily #WildcatPRIDE

Caroline Families: We have been advised that construction on River Road is ending, and it will reopen by Friday afternoon, October 25. At that time, we will resume our normal bus routes. Please be prepared that pick up and drop off times may vary by as much as 15 minutes as we make this transition.
We appreciate the assistance, collaboration and communication from our partners, the Caroline County Commissioners, Sheriff’s Office and Public Works, and MDOT as this important project was completed.

Good morning LMS families,
Our PTA has organized a service learning opportunity for all students. Please see below:
As we all know, Hurricane Helene has devastated areas from North Carolina to Tennessee, leaving residents with little to nothing. Our community has rallied over the past two weeks bringing donations and help as the residents of these areas rebuild their lives.
On Friday, 10/25, another local community member, Devon Greene, is delivering an additional truckload to residents within these zones. We would like to offer a Service Learning Opportunity for students who would like to donate the items listed below. Students should bring all items starting tomorrow, 10/23, to their homeroom teacher. We will be collecting items through Friday morning, 10/25. We respectfully request no water, as they have plenty of cases that have been donated at this point.
***Students who donate items will earn up to a maximum of three service learning hours***
***HOWEVER…students are certainly free to donate more than three items if they would like.***
All students who donate items will need to fill out the student reflection and student evaluation sections of Service Learning Approval Forms in order to earn SLH for this project. These forms will need to be completed and turned in to HR teachers with student donations. The link for the form is https://5il.co/1hp9r or can be picked up from guidance.
Items needed include: Halloween costumes and candy (to help create a sense of normalcy), new or lightly used coats, warm socks, long Johns, sweatpants and sweatshirts, warm gloves, and hats.
Thank you!

Our first dance is THIS FRIDAY! No referrals, no unexcused absences! 6th grade from 5 - 6:30. 7th & 8th grade from 7 - 8:30. Walking tacos and snacks available for purchase!
Tickets are $5 and will be sold during lunches this week. No tickets will be sold the day of or at the door.

Calendar Reminder: Friday, October 18, all schools and offices closed.

National Thank A Police Officer Day is observed each year on the third Saturday of September. At Lockerman Middle School we take the honor to thank the departments in the northern end of Caroline County. We gave gift baskets to the Sheriff’s department, Denton Police Department and most importantly to our School Resource Officer, Cpl Bodnar. We would like to say thank you to Cpl Bodnar for protecting us every day and keeping us safe from harm. He is our first line of defense and helps to ensure learning takes place in our classrooms. Thank you Cpl Bodnar!
